The U14 Wildcats notched three impressive shutout victories at the Buffalo Grove Fall Kickoff Classic to earn a 2nd place trophy.  The only loss of the weekend came at the hands of a very talented Elk Grove AB division team that plays two division up from the Wildcats.    In the week leading up to the tournament, we introduced a new defensive formation that required all girls to adjust their style of play, from Goal Keeper to Striker.  Throughout the weekend, the girls’ confidence in the new system continued to grow and immediately showed positive results. Team work and communication was key to the success of the weekend.  While it was clearly evident that the girls worked hard over the summer to improve their skills over the summer,  they came together as a team with much improved communication and team cohesiveness.
